EXPERTISE/

IN LABOUR RELATIONS

The APTS offers you a thorough defence on all questions related to the work sphere. Its union counsellors have expertise that is directly related to your particular work. Regardless of the size or location of your work facilities, you are ensured the same support and the same top-quality services.

DEMOCRATIC UNION LIFE/

The people who represent you come from a profession like yours. In your institution, the union team that you have elected is there to welcome you, support you and answer your questions about your working conditions. Your representatives take part in decisions at all levels of the APTS, and thus have an opportunity to highlight your concerns at large provincial meetings and in specific committees.

NEGOTIATIONS AND PAY EQUITY/

The APTS invites you to participate every step of the way in contract talks – from developing demands specific to your professions to engaging in actions to tip the scales in favour of the union side. Given its experience and its grasp of your concerns, the APTS is the union that’s best equipped to represent you.

DIRECT SERVICES /

Your union offers you the best direct services in all regions of Québec. The elected officers in your region represent you and support you on a day-to-day basis.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT/

Training and professional development are a priority for the APTS, unlike the employers, who devote few resources to such activities. The APTS sees to it that the given budgets are fully utilized and that training programs are carefully selected to address your needs.

PART OF ASOLIDARITY-BASED MOVEMENT/

At the APTS, three areas of sociopolitical action take priority: defending public services, fighting poverty and promoting women’s rights. Given the importance of uniting progressive forces, the APTS belongs to various broad-based coalitions that share its concerns.
